On of the main reasons why I am still in the computing profession is beacause of the initial step of going to study computing in University of Lagos, Nigeria. Learned several units such as DOS, management skills, statistics, multimedia, COBOL, communication methods and data appreciations, C++, C, Dbase Series.
Compute-Rite Institute: Diploma in data processing
This was a private institute where I went to learn the practicalities of computing so as to meet the latest versions at that time. It was fun but expensive. Certain subjects of interest w
ere introduced such as C++, COBOL, Accounts, DOS, Excel, Word, Emailing, Internet (use and abuse).
Satellite Secondary School:
I did my O’levels with grades in English, Math’s, Commerce, Government studies, Biology, Statistical method and Bible knowledge.
Work Experience

IDESK Plc: Feb 1999 to Date
Internet Technician. I work for a couple of ISPs (Internet Service Providers). Attending to customers' needs online or via phone calls. Handling dial-up connections, modem settings, IE5, Netscape, outlook express, Frontpage, Cuteftp, Wsftp. The job
is fun. As a 1st line techie things are not that easy as we have to try resolving calls before thinking of passing it over to the 2nd techies.
ICT Eurotel: October 1998 To May 1999
Customer Service Representative.
I worked as a customer service representative handling calls on credit card inquiries from all interested individuals or companies willing to set up credit card accounts with our client. Under ICT Eurotel are several other departments that I am
tr
ained to support the Sales department which required me to call registered customers and sell offers.
The environment was very busy and tedious. Call handling was very hectic as I had to present myself in the best manner as possible whilst dealing with pleased or unpleased customers. Working under pressure and immediate change to another department on dema
nd was part of my skill as a fast learner.
South Bank University : August 1998 (One month contract for ‘clearing’)
Helpdesk Assistant.
Working for the human resources department to provide assistance to the administrative section as well as taking telephone inquiries from students whom intended to study in the school. Sending off prospectus and other course materials.
Protective Security Systems LTD. : Jan 1998 to date.
Receptionist/Security
This was my major part time job as a front desk assistant at the City University halls of residence. I was the first point of contact to students and visitors who wished to make inquiries or report incidences. The use of a switchboard as well as check-in gues
ts in and out of halls were some of my duties. It was a multitasking environment, which required certain skills and know-hows.
Chubb Wardens LTD. : March 1995 to Jan 1998
Receptionist/Security
Same job as above until the contract was taken over by PSS. I was the only one recommended out of a team of five to carry out the change over from the old to the new company. My duties for Chubb at the earlier stage also included working at banks
and several other locations as a cover during weekends.
Blue Arrow Personnel : May 1994 to August 1997
Temp
I worked as a temp at various places for the catering and admin. Sections. This gave me a vast knowledge of working with different people at various levels and places. I had a good time keeping record with the agency as some jobs urgently required Temps a
t very short notices.
Computask Services : Feb 1993 to April 1995
Helpdesk/sales assistant (Team Leader)
Selling of computer parts as well as on-line and/or telephone assistance to customers where my duties and responsibilities. I was the team leader of my team and also handled cash. I visited few residences of clients to set up systems and briefly educate t
hem on how to start off with the systems.
Skills
Through a customer relationship background dealing with parents, children and a wider community I have shown an ability to communicate effectively with people of all backgrounds.
I have undergone so many team duties. For one year I lead a team of six customer services staff, and managed the implementation of the organization drive toward a fully self-directed teamwork.
Integrity, commitment to honesty and reliability as well as being a goal oriented person has kept me in various positions throughout my working career. The confident and patient skills are my key tools for continuos success.

Hobbies
